This directory contains the necessary patches and additional software to access and control the extended features of the WM8750 audio chipset.
Only the Zaurus models SL-C1000 and SL-C3x00 have the WM8750 chip built-in.
The patch in this directory is against Sharp's kernel 2.4.20.
It will also work with the kernel sets by Tetsu and Cacko.
For these models the patch will add the following features to the kernel:
- output source selection (Autodetect, Internal Speaker, Headphone);
- ability to control Treble, Bass and 3D stereo sound enhancement;
- ability to control various cut-off frequencies supported by the sound chip.
All of these features can be accessed either via the Qtopia control app (see below) or manually via /proc/driver/wm8750/*.
If you want to try it, please make sure you know how to recompile your kernel and how to flash this kernel onto your Zaurus.
You may also use a precompiled kernel for either Sharp ROM/Cacko or pdaXrom/pdaXii13, which is available here:
